Home Haul Part 2

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of post yesterday. I have had such a busy weekend: graduation party and a wedding. With both of those things going on, I just couldn’t find the time to write up a post. Never fear, though. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will all be beauty posts. šŸ™‚

So today, for my apartment-related post, I’m doing another haul. Apologies if you aren’t into hauls, but I only have one more after this (for now) and it’s a furniture one [there is some furniture in this one too]. This haul has things for a bunch of different places in the apartment- not just the kitchen like last week’s did. So, without further ado, let’s get started.

Let’s start with bathroom stuff:

The first thing I got were these really pretty grey towels for the bathroom. I have a grey, blue, and yellow theme in the bathroom (mostly grey), so these are perfect. They look so nice hanging up in my bathroom. I purchased these at Walmart.

I got these towels from Walmart as well. They are the Better Homes & Gardens line and they are SO SOFT. I got two grey and two dark blue. They are just the nicest towels I have ever had, and I would definitely recommend them. They were only around five dollars, and they are really nice quality.

I also got this pack of washcloths at Walmart. They were a really great deal and are grey, yellow, and white, so perfect for the bathroom. I do like using a washcloth when showering, and I can always use more. These are perfect, and I do really like them. They are also quite soft.

Now on to the fun bathroom stuff: the shower curtain. I, of course, got a vinyl liner. But, I am in love with the fabric shower curtain that goes on the outside. I picked these up at TJ Maxx, so they were a really great deal. I also got the shower curtain hooks there, too. They are a really pretty brushed nickel finish, like most of the hardware in the bathroom (I didn’t even know that when I purchased it). I am really excited about it, and it looks so nice. Whenever I do a bathroom tour, you’ll get to see.

Last up for the bathroom is the Better Homes & Gardens grey and white rug that I got at Walmart. It is simple and small, but it looks really nice and is super duper soft.

Please excuse the mess behind this picture; I had taken it right when I got home from the store and hadn’t really cleaned up/packed. Anyway, this hamper I got at Walmart and it is (unsurprisingly) grey and white! It has a liner bag on the inside that comes out, which would make it easier if you lived in a dorm or an apartment that didn’t have an in-unit washer/dryer. Thankfully, my apartment does have the washer and dryer located within the apartment, so I won’t be needing the bag. I just really liked the hamper :).

For the living room, I got this super cute little table. I love how small it is, but it is so pretty! I got this at TJ Maxx.

Finally some stuff from Bath and Body Works:

I really love Bath and Body Works soaps, and since it is just my boyfriend and I, they last a really long time, so I’m okay with paying a little more for them. I ended up picking up seven (two of which I gave to my mom) and kept the other five. They are: Peach Bellini (a favorite scent of mine), Island Pink Pomelo (this is currently in the kitchen and smells divine), Watermelon Lemonade (another favorite scent of mine), Honolulu Sun (this is the bathroom right now and is so coconut-y and delicious!), and Hawaiian Pink Hibiscus (I had this candle last year and loved it). I’m not going to need to get soap for quite a while, but I’m okay with that!

Finally, I picked up a new wall plug-in and two wallflowers. I got this really cute turtle which is currently residing in the bathroom with the Watermelon Lemonade bulb plugged into it. I absolutely LOVe that scent. I also picked up Endless Weekend. It is a bit more coconut-y from what I could tell in the store. Once I start using it, I will do a review. šŸ™‚

Anyway, so that is it for my haul. What did you think? Do you have any recommendations for me? I’d love to hear them.

I bought everything myself (or my mom did; she’s awesome). I am not getting paid for this post. All opinions are my own.

  1. I have a Bath and Body Works candle related question for you since you posted about liking the one candle scent and buying the hand soap version. Do you ever buy the seasonal scented candles? If so do you like them and do you think the scents are strong when lit?

    • Sara says:

No problem. I do but the seasonal candles every now and then. To be honest it varies per candle. For the most part, they are very nicely scented and will spread their scent throughout the room/nearby rooms. I cannot speak for every candle, though, as each one is a bit different. Is there one that you had in mind?

      • Not a specific one but I was browsing the scents for sale on Amazon & Ebay like donuts and pumpkin and all that stuff=) I’ve been burning candles like crazy and I think I might stock up on the B&BW candles this Fall but I wanted to hear if they’re worth it first. Thank you!

      • Sara says:

Ah okay. In general the fall ones are pretty good. šŸ™‚

      • Excellent thank you!! I’ve been burning Sonoma Fireside Hearth from Kohls and seriously bought the two closest stores out. I went candle browsing online and saw all the B&BW scents and I wanna test them out. I’m going to try making my own soy candles too! Thanks again!!

      • Sara says:

Ooo that will be awesome if you make your own. Let me know how it turns out!!

      • I hope they turn out. I’ll probably document them on my blog if it does! Thanks again.
