Ofra Eyebrow Pencil Review

Want to hear a funny story? I was waxing my eyebrows the other day and I managed to accidentally remove part of the eyebrow that I wanted to keep. Wanna know how it gets funnier? I was going over to my boyfriend’s parents house for dinner that night. Yeah…. go me. Guess what? I did the same thing this week except worse and with the other eyebrow. Thankfully, I had an eyebrow pencil in my makeup drawer. Usually I don’t use one because I have thick, full eyebrows. But this definitely came in handy. I’ve been using it a lot lately, so I am definitely ready to give it a review.

The first thing to note is that this is the only color that exists in this brand: Universal. There are no other options, but it is a pretty universal color. My eyebrows are a bit darker and cooler than the swatch of this pencil, but it doesn’t appear too pronounced when I use it. I can tell it is there, but nobody else can, which is definitely a good thing.

In terms of application, it is so easy to apply. It is a creamy pencil so it goes on very easily, without a lot of tugging or poking. I just sweep it on to where I wish I hadn’t removed my hair, and that’s it.

It is a bit waxy, so if you are filling in your entire brow, you may not even need to set it with an eyebrow gel. I’ve done it both ways without really seeing a difference between the two.

The waxy quality of the pencil does make your eyebrow a bit weird to the touch throughout the day. I know most people don’t go around touching their eyebrows, but I just wanted to point that out, because the way that it feels makes me think that it doesn’t really set. That being said, it does not move around throughout the day, but it doesn’t dry completely.

The last point I have is a bit of strange one… it makes my eyebrows itchy! I usually don’t have itchy eyebrows, but when I wear this, I find that by 6:00pm, I wanna scratch my eyebrows. I don’t know what that means, but since the product works so well, I won’t fault it.

Overall, I do really enjoy this pencil. Once this one runs out, I will probably purchase another one to keep in my stash just in case I have yet another waxing incident (seriously, who does that?!). I definitely recommend giving it a go if you have a chance!

What are your favorite brow products? And, what are your brow needs?

I bought this myself. I’m not getting paid for this post. All opinions are my own.
