TheBalm Cindy Lou-Manizer Review

Yay Wednesday! Middle of the week… the middle of a week in which I do nothing except work so that I have money for rent in June :P. I am quite satisfied with this setup.

Today I’m talking about a sample I got ages ago in a Birchbox. I haven’t been using it much just because I definitely prefer the Mary Lou-Manizer, at least in the pan. The peachy color didn’t appeal to me from the get-go, but I have been playing around with it lately and have found that I can now do a proper review of it.

Something to note is that it is very peachy and because of that the highlight on the cheek isn’t as profound. To be honest, that it was I like Mary Lou-Manizer so much. However, the peachier tone gives the cheeks a very pretty sheen without being too crazy. The shimmer is definitely still there, though, and it is so pretty!

I find that I get the most use out of it as an eyeshadow. It gives a very pretty, shimmery look to the lid. It actually looks fairly natural (besides the shimmery-ness).

I don’t think that I will be purchasing the full-size because Mary Lou-Manizer is so much brighter and noticeable, and that is definitely what I prefer in a highlighter. I will definitely use up the sample, though. And, I do think that this is a great choice for people who love the velvety, non-flakey, non-crumbly formula of Mary Lou-Manizer but don’t want that strong highlight.

What are your favorite highlighters?

I bought this myself. All opinions are my own. I’m not getting paid for this post.
