Amika Nourishing Mask Review

Man, this has been a long week. I’ve been picking up a ton of extra shifts at work because I’m trying to get enough money for my first month’s rent. Yay for adult problems?

Anyway, today I’m going to be talking about a product from a brand I have been loving: Amika. I have been so intrigued by this brand so when I got this sample in a Birchbox a few months ago, I was so excited, especially after having used the curling iron.

The first thing that I have to say about this is that I love the fact that it isn’t just a tub of deep conditioner. I really do love the tube. When you buy the full size, it does, unfortunately, come in a tub. They do, however, sell a smaller size that comes in a squeeze tube. It would be a great one to pick up if you do a lot of travelling- it would be so much easier than travelling with a big tub.

One thing to note about it being in a squeeze tube is that it is a little bit thinner than other deep conditioners I have used in the past. However, it is by no means thin. It is definitely thicker than a regular conditioner.

There really isn’t much of a scent. If you put your nose in it, I’m sure you could smell something, but when I’m applying it to my hair, I don’t really notice anything at all, which is fine by me.

In terms of efficacy, I like it. I find that it makes my hair very soft and feel very moisturized. It isn’t the best hair mask I have ever used, though. But on a scale of 1-10, I would easily give it a 7 or 8. It moisturizes and doesn’t weigh my hair down.

Overall, I do like it, and if you are looking for a good hair mask, this would be a good one to try out. I think there are others that I like better, so I probably won’t purchase another one. But it definitely hasn’t changed my opinion of the brand- it is a great brand. I still want to try more. Give me all the hair products from Amika!!

What are your favorite deep conditioners/hair masks?

I bought this myself. All opinions are my own. I’m not getting paid for this post.
