I love painting my nails. This is a polish that I purchased over the summer, and I had forgotten about it until I was home for spring break, picking up some more nail polishes to bring back with me. Boy am I glad I found it, because it is so beautiful.
This picture does not do it justice. In the natural light, like above, it takes on a teal color. The gold shimmer in it is visible but not very noticeable. However, in the indoor light (yellow light), the gold really pops and makes the polish look more green. I love the multi-colored-ness of this polish. 😛
I used a filter on my camera to manipulate the color and this is pretty close to what it looks like in the yellow light. This is after five days of wear, so there is a small chip on my pointer finger.
The color is so bright and it really stands out, whether you are indoor or outdoor. It’s a great polish for spring!
I applied two layers of this polish, but you could get away with one slightly thicker layer. I did find that the layers took a good bit to dry, which is the only downfall. If Julep could make this polish dry faster, I would say it is the perfect polish.
In terms of wear, it’s great. After two days of wear (including working a night at the dining hall), there are no noticeable chips, and the only wear was at the tips (but you can only see it if you look for it). The photo above is after five days of wear including two nights at the dining hall. That chip on my index finger is the only one that I have on any of my nails. So, I would say this polish wears very well.
Overall, this is a great polish and I highly recommend trying it out!
I have a feeling that I’m going to be wearing this a lot this spring. What are your favorite spring nail polishes?
I bought this myself. All opinions are my own. I’m not getting paid for this post.
