The Body Shop Early-Harvest Raspberry Shower Gel Review

I have become a huge fan of The Body Shop over the past year and a half or so. In their last sale, I ended up ordering a couple of my favorite products and a good number of new ones. When I placed this order, they *finally* had this scent in stock. I had been searching for it since it released, but it was always sold out when I was ready to make an order. So when I saw it, I jumped on it.

In terms of formula, this is just like the other shower gels from The Body Shop. You don’t need too much of it to get a really nice lather. I find that it makes me feel clean, just like the others. So, in terms of formula, it’s great. I love The Body Shop shower gels (have I mentioned that yet? :P).

The scent is really why I wanted to review this shower gel for you. When I first smelled it in the container, I thought that there was no way I was going to like this. It smelled a little bit artificial in the container, and it was one of those smells that I could tell would give me a headache. To be honest, I almost gave it away without even trying it. I must say that I’m glad I did, though. It has a lot more of a real raspberry scent once it is out of the packaging. I’m guessing it was just the plastic that I was smelling, because it does smell so sweet and just like real raspberries. I love it! The one thing I will say about this, though, is that it isn’t as strong as others. I’ve used Satsuma, Strawberry, and the limited-edition apple one they had around Christmas (Glazed Apple). Those all fill the entire bathroom with their scent. This one just isn’t as strong. Don’t get me wrong; it isn’t a weak scent, but it just isn’t as strong as what I was used to from The Body Shop. This is also a scent that doesn’t really linger. With the Satsuma scent, I would smell like clementines even after getting out of the shower. That doesn’t really happen with this one.

Overall, I really like this shower gel. I am so glad that I finally got a chance to give it a shot, and I’m glad that it smells so delicious. It is a little weaker than other scents from The Body Shop, but it is still really nice. I would recommend giving it a try if you love raspberries.

I bought this myself. All opinions are my own. I’m not getting paid for this post.

  1. I was at Marshall’s a couple of weeks ago & they had several bottles of the Body Shop’s blueberry shower gel but I decided not to get them, just watching my money that day and I really regret it after reading this!
I like the Body Shop too & getting mini shower gels w/the ornament attached as stocking stuffers around Christmas is probably my favorite thing to give out.

Oo. I’m going to have to go check that out. Although, I’m not the biggest fan of the Blueberry scent. I have the body butter and there is something about it that isn’t my favorite. I’ll probably do a review on it once I really start using it.
I like giving it to, but there aren’t a lot of people in my life who would appreciate a kit from the shower gel. I do always get my mom a bottle of the vanilla shower gel, though. It’s her favorite formulas and she would never order it for herself. I always see the ornaments, though, and they are so cute. I always want to buy them.

I like olive. Not a sweet scent but it reminds me of Italy.

Yeah? I don’t think I’ve ever tried that one… I don’t live near a store so I buy online and I’m always too scared of that one. I may have to give it a try though 🙂
