Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful end to your work/school week. Today, I want to talk to you about a nail polish I am currently wearing. If you remember back in July, I did a post on Orly Pink Nude and I mentioned it was from a mini collection. Well, this is one of the other polishes in the collection and it’s called Country Club Khaki.
Here is a disclaimer. This photo has been color corrected. When I took the photo it came out looking like a greenish nude, and it definitely isn’t. I would call it a light milk chocolate color. You can see that in the photo, it is still a little green-tinted, and that does come across in certain lights. However, in general, it looks like a light milk chocolate.
As far as formula, it’s okay. I am not overly impressed with it, but I’m not disappointed by it either. It dries fairly quickly and it applies smoothly… if you work quickly. You need to take extra care with this polish so that you do not get streaks.
The photo above shows two coats as well as a topcoat. The weirdness you see at the base of the nail is because of the top coat. I think I am almost out of my Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat, and it isn’t applying very well. The nail polish itself applied in an even layer . The weirdness on my pinky nail is because the cotton pad I used to remove my previous polish left little threads behind.
Because this is a mini bottle, I had to dunk the brush a lot. It just does not hold a lot. However, if you were to buy the full size, you wouldn’t have this problem.
So there you have it. It’s an okay polish that I will continue to use. There is nothing that I LOVE about it. It’s pretty average (maybe a bit above average).
Have you ever used an Orly polish? What are your favorites?
I bought this myself. All opinions are my own. I’m not getting paid for this post.
