Sephora Haul!

Hey guys! I placed my first ever Sephora order before Christmas, and I wanted to share what I got!

The first thing is actually a gift. I ended up giving away the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette to my mom for Christmas. She really liked the colors in it, and it fits her look perfectly. I’m excited for her to try it out. At some point over my winter break, she is going to let me do her makeup. When I do, I’ll use these shadows.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw that the new Formula X line came out a while ago, and I’ve been seriously lusting after some of the polishes. I decided on this “shifter.” It’s called Grandiose and it changes from gold to red. It is a duochrome that I had never seen before. I have used it and I really like the formula. Of course, I topped it with glitter so I’m not sure that I really tested its durability. Once I wear it on its own, I’ll do a blog post.

I had a coupon that had a minimum balance, so I used this to push me over the top. This is a little one-time-use shower gel capsule in the Coconut scent. I’m actually kind of excited to give this a go.

I bought this gift card holder solely because it came with a small size of the Fresh lip treatment. I am more or less addicted to lip balm, and I’ve really been wanting to try out something from this brand, but the full sizes are so expensive. I decided that this was the perfect choice since it is such a good deal and I still get to try the product.

I also purchased these oil blotting sheets from Boscia since mine from Julep are running out. These smell like peppermint. That isn’t my favorite smell over, but they work well, so I won’t complain too much.

I received my birthday kit! It was still in my cart since June and it let me check out with it, so I’m a happy camper. This kit has a sample of Benefit’s They’re Real mascara and Benefit’s Watts Up highlighter. I’m excited to give these both a try… particularly the mascara as everyone seems to love it.

Then, Sephora was having their merrymini code thing, so I chose the Clinique High Impact Waterproof mascara. I’m excited to try this mascara out as well.

Finally, I received three samples. There is some haircare thing from Phyto. I picked it out so I should know what it is, but honestly, I forget. I packed it away and I don’t feel like digging out my box of samples.  Please forgive my laziness. I also received Lancome’s Tresor perfume which is alright. It definitely isn’t my favorite by any means, but I’ll still use the sample. Finally, I got a sample of the Wei Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask. I’ve been wanting to try this out for forever. I didn’t want to purchase it for fear that it would have a bad reaction with my skin, so I’ve been holding out for a sample. I’m so excited to finally get to try it. I haven’t used it yet, but I will… soon.

So there we have it. My first Sephora haul. I have to say that I am addicted to browsing their site, so I’m sure I’ll place another order in the future. The only thing that deters me is the fact that you don’t get free shipping unless you spend over fifty dollars… and that’s a lot to spend at one time.

Let me know if you’ve been shopping or if you’ve tried out any of the products in this haul.

I purchased everything myself. All opinions are my own. I’m not getting paid for this blog post.

  1. Sara,
Oh I remember the very first thing I bought from Sephora, it was my birthday and my dad drove me to the mall, and I just remember going in there with a specific list in my head of what I wanted to get but then I kept looking around, swatching every blush and shadow that caught my eye. It was like makeup heaven in there, other then the fact that it was packed inside with other equally excited shoppers! Great haul, I’m sure your mom will love the eyeshadow palette, and I’m sure you’ll love all the other little goodies you purchases for yourself.
    PS. New Post!

Aw. That sounds so sweet. I love Sephora and every time I go, I want to buy everything, but then I talk myself out of everything because of the prices. 🙂
My mom did love the palette. She said it is exactly what she had been looking for. Success! 😀
Ooooh. I’ll go check it out! 🙂
