Soap & Glory Hand Food Review

Hey guys! If you saw my Boots Haul then you’ll know that I picked up the Soap & Glory Hand Food recently. As I’ve been using it for a while, I decided that I would share my opinion of it with you.

I want to start off by saying that many, many people rave about this stuff. It comes up quite often in beauty videos on YouTube (actually, I haven’t seen it mentioned lately… but still). I have been dying to try it, but they don’t sell Soap & Glory at my Sephora (which is 45 minutes to an hour away anyhow). I saw it at Boots and decided to give it a whirl. The plane really dried out my hands, and I still feel like I’m recovering from that. Ugh. I should have brought hand cream with me.

Let me start with the moisturizing quality of this cream. I don’t feel that it lives up to its reputation at all. My hands felt quite dry. Not really to the touch, but I could just tell that they were dry. I could feel it. A few weeks later and I can still feel it. Furthermore, my hands don’t look super smooth. You can still see all the “wrinkles” in my hands, which makes them drier than they are. Overall, it hasn’t impressed me. Maybe my standards were too high, but I didn’t feel like it did a good job whatsoever. I’m a bit disappointed.

Next, I want to touch on the smell because everyone and their mother raves about the wonderful scent of all Soap & Glory products. I’m going to have to respectfully disagree. I think it smells a bit grandma-ish. It is very floral and very “creamy.” I don’t know exactly how to explain it, but I don’t care for it at all.

This product also has paraben in it, and you all know how I feel about that. I don’t like it.

I will say that it sinks in to the skin fairly quickly, which is nice, because it doesn’t leave a greasy residue.

Overall, I’m pretty disappointed. I feel like my Triple Moisture Body Cream from Bath and Body Works works just as well if not better on my hands. I will not be repurchasing this, and I don’t think you should waste your money on it either. It isn’t something that I feel comfortable recommending. Sorry Soap & Glory. 😦

Anyway, have you tried it? What is your go-to hand cream? Let me know in a comment below.

All opinions are my own. I’m not getting paid for this post. I bought this myself.
