NOTD Barry M Watermelon

Hey guys! If you watched my Boots haul, you’ll recognize this. This is the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in the color Watermelon.

The hype around these polishes is huge. Every British Youtuber has mentioned these at some point in time, I’m sure. I have to say that they are pretty well worth the hype. The shine on this polish is really amazing. And the dry time is fantastic. It dried completely in about a half hour! A half hour! That’s practically unheard of! The formula is smooth and easy to work with. In two coats, it was completely opaque. On the first coat, it was a little bit more green, while the blue came through a bit more with the second coat. I was surprised to see that it is a very blue-based teal. I wasn’t expecting that with a name like “Watermelon.” Nevertheless, it is really pretty. Despite the chips you see, it has worn really well. Just a few small chips around the tips of my nails. They are practically unnoticeable, and it’s been two days already.

What do you think? Have you tried the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints?

I bought this myself. I’m not getting paid for this post. All opinions are my own.

  1. I have never heard of this nail polish before, but now I have to check it out! Love the color, though I typically like sparkly polishes over flat ones.
