My first ever Boots Haul!!

Hooray for the UK’s version of the drugstore! I got some amazing deals on everything I purchased, so I’m pretty excited. Plus, they are things I either really wanted or things I really needed. I collected this stuff over three different trips.

The first thing that I knew I had to pick up was a Batiste dry shampoo. While this is available in the States, I have never seen it. I don’t really use dry shampoo, but I noticed that my hair had been getting greasy a lot faster, especially my bangs. I’ve been converted! I use this practically every day for added volume and to fix any greasiness in my hair. The smell is amazing as well. This is the blush scent, and it is so floral and sweet!! I highly recommend this!

Next, I picked up the Soap & Glory Hand Food. Again, you can buy this in the States at Sephora, but the one that is closest to me (which isn’t even that close) doesn’t sell Soap & Glory. Furthermore, it is actually cheaper to buy this in the UK. It was 2,50 GBP which is roughly $3.80 or so in US dollars. I like it so far, but I’ll let you know after I’ve used it for a longer period of time.

I was just going to get the previous two items when the nice man at the till (register) told me that all the travel stuff was on offer (on sale) for 3 for 2 (buy two get one free… seriously, the vocab over here is so different!). So, I picked up The Righteous Butter from Soap & Glory. I don’t know how I feel about this yet, but I’ll let you know.

Naturally, I had to pick up some of the Berry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints. You all know that I love me some nail polish, and these do not disappoint. I picked out Watermelon, a pretty teal-y green color, and Blue Grape, a beautiful cobalt blue. I got these at Buy One Get One 50% Off. I’ve worn Blue Grape already, and I’m pretty darn impressed with the formula and the shine! I’ll be picking up some more before I leave. 🙂

Next, the thing everyone talks about: Rimmel Apocalips. I got the shade Apocalyptic. It is a bright raspberry pink… but erring more on the side of pink. It is SUPER pigmented and very pretty. However, there is something that I really dislike about this: the smell. If you’ve never smelled liquid plastic, pick one of these up. That is the best way I can describe it: liquid plastic. It smells SO bad, that it is almost unbearable to have on the lips. It also tastes terrible. I’m really disappointed and will not be purchasing any more, especially for around 8 GBP!

On the contrary, this raved about product is as amazing as they say. This is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. Oh my, this covers my undereye circles like none other. I highly recommend trying this out. I picked out the shade Light, even though I am typically the lightest shade in foundations and concealers. However, I swatched Fair (the lightest), and it seemed like it would be way too light. Also, they didn’t have any of that shade in stock. 😛 All the makeup was on offer for Buy One Get One 50% off, and you could mix and match across the brands!

This is the start of the stuff that I actually needed. I got these two body washes for 2 for 3 GBP, which is pretty good, even when compared to American prices! These are the Dove Go Fresh Nourishing Body Wash. The one with the pinkish red lid is Revive (Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena) and the one with the blue lid is Restore (Blue Fig and Orange Blossom). Now, I didn’t love the Restore, but when I was smelling it in the store, I accidentally squeezed the bottle too much and it overflowed a little bit. I felt bad putting it back on the shelf, so I decided that since I didn’t hate the scent, I would choose that one. However, the one with the purple lid smelled amazing, too. All three were very sweet smelling, which is something I love in a body wash. Once I try these out, I’ll write up a full review. 🙂

Next, I got three hair care things. The hair care was on offer for 3 for 2, so I ended up getting the conditioner (see below) for free. I use two different shampoos, one for dandruff control and one for managing my dry hair. I went with the Head and Shoulders over the store brand, because I know that it works. This is the 2 in 1 formula, but I will still use a conditioner. The other shampoo I picked is from Herbal Essences. I know, I know. You can get this back in the US. But, I was feeling particularly attached to my money at this point. Plus, none of the other shampoos seemed to be appealing to me. Anyway, I chose the Beautiful Ends shampoo. It smells really great, and I’m excited to give it a go. I believe the American equivalent is called Long Term Relationship.

Finally, a conditioner. This is the Boots brand Fruit Essence Moisture Repair. I believe that it is modeled after the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, judging by the color and the shape of the bottle. It does NOT smell nearly as good as Herbal Essences though. Again, I would have chosen something different if I were feeling like spending more money. But, alas, this is what I chose. I used it last night, but I think it is too soon to give a full review.

Anyway, this is a super long post. Let me know in the comments below if there is anything else I should pick up while here or if there are any products you want to see a review on! I’m so happy to be blogging regularly again! Have a fantastic day!!!

I bought everything in this post with my own money. I’m not being paid for this post. All opinions are my own.
