NOTD: Julep Gabrielle

I purchased this a while ago, when it was on sale. Every now and then, Julep will put one color on sale for half off. I also had a half off coupon, so I got this polish for a really good deal.

I love this color. It is a dusty grape. By that, I mean that it is a greyish toned purple. It is a really nice transition color. Actually, it is a really nice year-round color. It has enough brightness to work as a summer-appropriate dark, and enough depth to work as a good fall/winter color. The application of this was fantastic! I could have just used one coat! I decided to do two in order to make sure that everything was opaque. It was quite a shiny finish. I’m currently testing a top coat, so I did put a top coat on it, but it really didn’t need it. I did notice that this polish was a little runnier than other Julep polishes I’ve used. It wasn’t hard to use though. I really like the final product. It is really pretty.

What are your favorite summer to fall transition colors?

I purchased this myself. All opinions are my own. I’m not getting paid for this post.

  1. I have Gabrielle too, and I think it’s an awesome color! I’ve been wearing Ulta brand nail polish in Eye Popping Poppy. It’s a great summer-to-fall transition color.

Nice swatch! I’ve been wanting to try this colour, so it’s good to see your review, thanks.
