The Body Shop Haul!

Can I tell you how excited I am right now? I have never purchased anything from The Body Shop and everything looks amazing! They were having a 40% coupon running when I looked at the site, so I decided that I might as well try out some products. I wanted to try a variety of their scents, so I made sure to purchase a different fragrance for each product.

Of course I had to get a body butter. Everyone raves about these things, and I saw that they had peach! The reviews on the site were good, so I had high hopes for the scent. I don’t think peach is done well very often, but I was confident that it would be awesome. Also, when I saw it was paraben-free (some of the body butters aren’t), I knew I had to get one. They didn’t have a mini, or else I would have opted for that. I used this once already. I liked it; it didn’t do anything amazing, but it is a nice body butter. This scent smells very peachy… but a little bit artificial. Think Dum Dum lollipop in the peach flavor. πŸ˜›

I also wanted to try the pink grapefruit body butter (especially because there was a mini version), but it had paraben in it, and I try to stay away from that. I saw that there were mini body scrubs, so I decided that this would be nice to try. I haven’t ever used a body scrub, so I’m curious to see how it works long term. Does anyone have any tips? If you do, leave them in a comment below. πŸ™‚ This smells exactly like a grapefruit. It even has the bitter quality that a real grapefruit has.

While in the pink grapefruit section, I noticed that there was a pink grapefruit lip butter. Because I wanted to try a variety of scents, I searched to see what other flavors I could find. I found this one: mango. I LOVE mangoes, but we don’t ever buy them in my house because they are kind of expensive. I had high hopes for this. It smells a bit artificial, and I have to admit that it kind of gave me a headache. It did make my lips feel moisturized, but it also seemed to make me break out. I know it is weird, but I react this way to a lot of lip balms. I’ll keep using it to make sure that it was that product that broke me out. I’ll do a review! πŸ™‚

I was going to try a full size of the peach shower gel, but then I remembered that peach rarely translates well into shower gel form. I decided to go for a mini version of the strawberry shower gel. I will probably save this for when I go abroad. I read somewhere that it makes more sense to just take travel versions of bath stuff, since you can buy everything you need there. So, that is what I will do. This smells very strong. I’m worried that it will be headache-inducing, but I’ll let you know.

Speaking of travel versions of bath stuff, I purchased the Rainforest Moisture shampoo and conditioner. I love trying out different hair stuff, so I’m excited to see how these work. They smell kind of herbal… which isn’t my favorite. They might smell different when I actually use them. I’ll keep you posted. πŸ™‚

So that is everything I got, and I’m already considering placing another order. What are your favorites from The Body Shop?

I bought everything myself. All opinions are my own. I’m not getting paid for this post. No affiliate links.
