Maybelline Baby Lips Melon Mania Review + Swatch

Ugh. I suck at this whole posting regularly thing… Anyway, I’m going to try to get better.

Today’s review is of a product I’ve been using a lot during the month of April. That is Maybelline’s Baby Lips in Melon Mania.

This color was originally released as limited edition, I believe. I do believe that it is part of the permanent collection now. I’m pretty sure at least. 😛

I bought this because I was really attracted to the color. The other Baby Lips I own, Pink Punch, is quite pigmented, and I was hoping that this one would be as well. This seemed like the perfect color for spring. Also, I thought that it would smell like watermelon, which would be a nice change.

Anyway, as you can see from the swatch, the pigmentation isn’t that great. I have found that it is a really nice product to use throughout the day. I often don’t apply lipstick for class (I don’t have time to retouch it) but always regret not having put on some type of lip color. This product allows me to reapply quite quickly while still giving me lots of shine and a little bit of color. It really is a no fuss lip product, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a hassle-free sheer lip color. For $3-$5, you really can’t beat this fabulously smelling and no fuss product.

I did purchase this myself with my own money. I’m not getting paid to talk about this product.
