It’s the time of the month for my Birchbox post! Get pumped! If you want to see this in video form, check out my Youtube video here!
The first item is the Serge Normant Meta Revive Volumizing Dry Shampoo with Cedar Bark. Honestly, this probably won’t get a lot of use because I wash my hair every day. However, on a day when there’s no hot water and I can’t take a shower (college problems… sigh) or whenever my hair is looking greasy, it might be useful. It’s also pretty expensive, so I guess it isn’t a bad start.
This is something I really wanted to try. This is the whish Shave Cream in Blueberry, a scent especially for Birchbox. I got a sample of the pomegranate scent back in August, but the seal was broken. If they took the time to seal it, it must have needed to be sealed. Alas, I never got the chance to use it. That’s why I was so pleased to see this. I did smell it, and I actually don’t like it. I can smell the blueberries but I also smell something plastic-y or chemical-y. I’m not sure what it is, but there is something off about the scent. I’m still going to give it a go once I finish the never-ending bottle of eos shave cream I’m using now.
Call me crazy, but this is probably my favorite part of the box. I got three different scents of the Caldrea Aromatherapeutic Body body lotion. Scent No 1 is Aloe Water Apricot (so excited for this!), No 2 is Tea Olive Lime (sounds so unique and fresh-smelling), and No 3 is Coconut Fig Leaf (pretty excited for this one too). I love good-smelling things, and since these don’t have any rosemary in them (like the aromatherapy rollerball I got in the fall), I’m super pumped to give them a try. I was looking at Birchox’s website when I saw they also have rollerballs of these scents. I’m so pumped!
Sally Hansen and Essie make nail stickers similar to this Incoco Nail Polish Applique pack, but I’ve never tried them. So, I’m so excited to try theses out. I’ll probably do a tutorial on how to use them. At the very least, I’ll show you what they look like in a post. This pattern is called Spring Vines, very appropriate for the spring! 🙂
Finally, there was a really cute nail file (or emery board, as some people say). It is very Monet-esque and is from Madewell, specifically Madewell for Birchbox. At $5 a piece, I would never buy one on its own, but I am happy to have one especially because (brace yourself) I don’t own a nail file (gasp!). 😀
There you go! That is what I got in this month’s Birchbox. What did you all get? Let me know!
