Healthy Living Goal 1: Cutting Sugar

Hey guys,

So I know that this site is aimed at beauty and fashion and that sort of thing. However, I think that how one feels is a major part of beauty. The better you feel, the prettier you are. Because of this, I’m taking steps to help myself feel healthier. I’m going to be making changes to my lifestyle each week in order to make myself feel better.

This week, I’m focusing on cutting sugar. Completely. Now, I don’t think that this is necessary for everyone, but I need to go cold turkey for a while because of how much I’ve been consuming each day. I think cutting it is going to sort of refresh my system, so that I don’t crave it all the time. Cutting excess sugar is going to help me feel lighter and less guilty about what I eat (ask the chocolate chip pancakes I had for dinner last night… whoops). It’s also going to be good for my teeth and my skin.

I’m cutting dessert, sweet treats, and, most importantly, pop. To curb my caffeine addiction (it’s not really an addiction), I’m going to be using my Keurig to brew a cup of coffee each day. (I do allow myself one or two sugar cubes, just because I can’t drink it otherwise).

Today was the first day, and it wasn’t too bad until this evening. I’ve really been craving something sweet, but I’m trying to drink lots of water and a little bit of juice to help curb this craving. I don’t think it is going to be *too* bad, but we’ll see how the week turns out.

What do you think I should change next week?
