Revlon Colorstay Base Coat Review

I know, I know. I missed two days. I’m not going to make an excuse. I should have made time. But, don’t worry. Three posts today to make up for it.

Monday’s post was supposed to be on the Revlon Colorstay Base Coat. I have been using this since I purchased it over winter break. I noticed that my nails were really stained, so I wanted to see if this would help. And, it did! I even wore bright red nail polish to test it out. My nails aren’t stained yellow or pink (from the red). So, this product definitely does its job.

It applies so smoothly and makes the nail polish so nice. My only complaint is that the denseness of the brush deposits a lot of product, making it take quite a long time to dry. The package suggests that you put two coats on, but I can’t imagine that. One coat, which ends up pretty thick, is plenty.

Overall, I’m impressed. I have never used a base coat before and I don’t think I’ll ever go back.

Do you have a favorite base coat?
